Pipe Welder

Position Summary:

Talent Source is seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join shipyard projects in San Diego. This role requires proficiency in GTAW and SMAW pipe welding across various materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and CUNI, in all positions. Ideal candidates will have shipyard or military welding experience and current certifications aligned with NAVSEA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Perform GTAW and SMAW welding on pipe systems in all positions (CUNI, stainless, carbon steel)

  
  


• 
  

  Follow MIL-STD-278 and NAVSEA weld specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Pass visual, X-ray, and bend testing for quality assurance

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with hydrostatic and pneumatic test repairs

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate weld logs and perform equipment upkeep

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  4+ years of pipe welding experience in shipyards or industrial settings

  
  


• 
  

  Current or recent NAVSEA/ABS weld certifications

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient in welding in tight or overhead positions

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to interpret and follow technical procedures and safety protocols

  
  


• 
  

  Must be eligible for DBIDs access

  
  

Pay Range: $26–$34/hour (based on experience)
