Pipefitter/Fabricator

Description

Power Mechanical, Inc is currently seeking hardworking, career-oriented individuals of good character to fill a Pipefitter/Fabricator positions within our organization. 

The Fitter/Fabricator position is primarily responsibility is to:

· Assemble structural metal products using tools, machines, and their own hands

· Fabricate various types of products

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

· Studying and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions

· Fabricating framework or shells for boilers, chillers, and other metal products 

· Interpreting measurements

· Resolving assembly and production components

· Altering dimensions to fit specifications  

· Complete preventative maintenance

· Troubleshooting malfunctions

· Preforming repairs

· Operation of fabricating machines such as grinders, sanders, saws, drill presses, and press brakes. 

· Reporting errors, 

· Completing necessary documents

· Checking that parts are fitted and screwed in properly. 

· Adhering to all safety regulations

· Lifting 75+ lbs. 

· Excellent customer service

· Effective communication skills.

This position will require:

· Ability work independently

· Ability to stay focused 

· Knowledge of basic tools and measurements

· High school diploma or an equivalent; post-secondary training is preferred. 

· Two years of experience with fitting or fabrication is preferred. 

· Basic math skills with a proficiency in geometry and algebra. 

Candidate should be willing and able to learn, be dependable, and have a good work ethic. This position is fulltime and requires overtime. A candidate with non-essential abilities, such as welding certifications, or who has a mechanical or electrical background is preferred.
