Planner/Scheduler

Position Summary:

Talent Source is currently seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler to support ship repair and maintenance operations for a major defense contractor in San Diego. This is a full-time position offering long-term project stability, growth potential, and the opportunity to contribute to high-visibility defense initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Navy ship repair or operations, along with the technical skills to develop and manage resource-loaded schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and EVMS software.

Key Responsibilities:

  Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for ship repair and maintenance programs

  
  


• 
  

  Use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to create and track resource-loaded schedules

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor project milestones, deadlines, and performance metrics using Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  
  


• 
  

  Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain clear and accurate project documentation and reports

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with schedule updates, progress reporting, and planning support

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  U.S. Citizenship

  
  


• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in Navy ship repair, maintenance, or ship operations

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and documentation skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to obtain a DBIDS credential

  
  

Salary Range: $32 - $53 hourly (based on experience)
