Are you a dedicated and skilled, hands on, Plant Health Care professional with a passion for nurturing green spaces? Burke's Tree Service is seeking licensed individuals to join our team and help us maintain the health and vitality of landscapes across our community.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a New Hampshire/Maine Licensed Plant Health Care professional with Burke’s Tree Service, you'll be responsible for:
Supervise and support PHC technicians and applicators.
Diagnose plant, turf, and insect issues to recommend effective treatment plans.
Oversee and perform pesticide, fertilizer, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) applications.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pesticide regulations in NH and ME.
Train staff on application techniques, safety, and plant health standards.
Communicate with clients regarding treatments and long-term care strategies.
Maintain accurate records and licensing documentation.
Assist with scheduling and quality control.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:
A valid NH or ME Pesticide license is required.
Strong knowledge of many plant species, diseases, and pests.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
A passion for environmentally conscious and sustainable integrated pest management (IPM).
ISA, CTSP or other industry certifications preferred.
Degree or coursework in horticulture, arboriculture, turf management or related field.
This role includes both field and office work, with the majority of time spent in the field performing hands on plant health care treatments.
