Plant Manager

 Progress Packaging & Technologies, a division of Vandor, is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help shape the continued growth and performance of our organization.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people, solving problems, and turning strategy into measurable results. You’ll have broad responsibility for plant performance and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: This is an on-site Monday-Friday, 1st shift salary exempt position. Core business hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm. 

What You'll Do

• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve quality, delivery, cost, and performance goals.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team within multiple shifts.
• Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure products and processes consistently meet quality and customer requirements.
• Develop annual operating plans, budgets, and capacity analysis.
• Analyze costs, forecasts, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop future leaders through coaching, cross-training, education, and apprenticeships.
• Partner with company leadership on strategic goals and operational priorities.

What We Are Looking For: 

We are looking for a hardworking, dependable, safety minded leader who wants to make an impact in a fast-growing company. 

• 10+ years of experience in the packaging and paper converting industry.
• Experience directing and leading multishift production teams. 
• Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Strong manufacturing leadership and team-development skills.
• Ability to think strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to delegate effectively and achieve results through others.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Work Environment

This position works in both an office setting and within a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse that is not temperature controlled. Required personal protective equipment must be work in accordance with the safety requirements established for the position.
