Job Description - Plater

Riverhawk Company, a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions, is currently seeking a Plater to join our team. As a Plater at Riverhawk, this individual will be responsible for utilizing chemicals to plate and coat parts. This is a full time, first shift position (6am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday) at our main location in New Hartford, NY.


What You'll Do:



  • Abide by safety guidelines set forth by OSHA, DEC, and Riverhawk Company

  • Clean process parts

  • Electroplate process parts and measure plating thickness of said parts

  • Keep a tidy working environment

  • Perform bath analysis with titrations

  • Collect and properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste

  • Maintain a variety of logs and other recordkeeping

  • Utilize the computer, including Microsoft Office products and our ERP System (Syteline) to make work transactions


What We Need: The qualifications below are requirements for the Plater role:



  • A high school diploma or GED is required, a degree or related coursework in chemistry, metallurgy, material science, or industrial safety strongly preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience working with chemicals preferred

  • Must pass respirator training and fit test

  • Ability to read mics

  • Familiarity with measurement systems and conversions

  • A general understanding of ISO 9001 and the Riverhawk Quality Policy

  • Pay range - $19-21.00/hr (please note that this range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications)
