About the Role

This role involves designing and engineering comprehensive plumbing systems for complex commercial and restaurant projects. You will prepare high-fidelity construction documents, perform load calculations, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams. The position offers a pathway toward professional licensure while working in a collaborative, people-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer comprehensive plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and specialized gas systems for commercial and restaurant layouts.
• Prepare high-fidelity construction documents, detailed drawings, and precise specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to ensure building systems are synchronized.
• Perform rigorous load calculations and system sizing for performance and code compliance.
• Support project managers by maintaining adherence to schedules and budgets while meeting quality standards.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs to ensure design intent is realized during construction.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and internal design reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3–8 years of dedicated experience in plumbing design within the MEP consulting industry.
• Advanced command of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Deep familiarity with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and International Building Code (IBC).

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT certification or active progress toward PE licensure.
• Experience with high-demand systems including commercial kitchen grease waste systems and high-rise plumbing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with LEED standards or energy-efficient plumbing practices.
• Previous experience in construction administration and site observations.
