SundaeTM (sundaeicecream.com) is looking for the right candidate to join our tight-knit and ambitious leadership team! This role is for our coming-soon flagship location on 16th Street in Denver. While this location is still undergoing buildout, our goal is to begin training soon for this role.
Total hourly compensation range: $26.00-31.00 per hour (includes base + tips)
Full-time, hourly position, eligible to earn overtime

PM ASSISTANT MANAGER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee all aspects of PM shift operations while meeting heavy customer volume demands
Lead and motivate shift teams of 4-12 team members through busy afternoon and evening shifts by demonstrating exemplary customer service, portion control, and presentation, all while maintaining the upmost professionalism in a high volume, quick service environment
Generate consistent, high-quality service that prioritizes sharing joy and cultivating connection through expert knowledge of brand standards and products
Effectively balance operational efficiency and crowd control while maintaining a positive team and customer environment
Reinforce brand standards and elevate performance during busy, high demand shifts by providing in the moment feedback and response operational, employee or customer issues
Promote Sundae’s loyalty programs and seasonal promotions to customers by encouraging signups and enhancing the customer experience
Model clear and effective team communication with a constant focus on SOP execution, customer satisfaction, and employee morale and retention
Respond courteously to unexpected operational needs and provide support by being available for on call and emergency coverage during short absences of the General Manager
Assist the General Manager with hiring, training, and coaching of team members with a constant focus on being an exceptional employer
Maintain accurate and appropriate food costs by monitoring waste, controlling portion sizes, and accurately tracking outgoing and incoming transfers
Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization and appearance throughout the store and ensure compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and other industry standards, including overseeing the stewards on shift
Participate in and contribute to regular staff, management, and leadership meetings
Assist the General Manager with any administrative tasks required for retail operations, including but not limited to bank deposits, payroll reporting, performance documentation, and scheduling

Requirements
2+ years of customer service experience or equivalent required
1+ year of foodservice supervisor, team leadership experience or equivalent required
High school diploma or equivalent
18 years of age or older
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Valid Food Safety Manager certificate or equivalent (may be obtained within 60 days of hire date)
Daytime availability required
ROLE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Move, traverse, or remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours
Constantly use manual (e.g. scooping ice cream) and automatic foodservice equipment
Regularly move up to 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet or more
Occasionally move up to 50 pounds for a distance of 25 feet or more
Occasionally ascend/descend ladder to clean or lift items stored above
Occasionally position self to clean, maintain equipment, and retrieve items below counter height
