Job Summary

The PM Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen and back-of-house areas at Marlowe's. This position supports both culinary and service teams by ensuring all dishware, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service. The PM Steward helps uphold health and safety standards while contributing to a positive, efficient, and team-oriented environment in a vibrant, poolside setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and properly store all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing, kitchen, and back-of-house areas.


• Operate dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.


• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries and supplies.


• Support culinary staff by ensuring equipment and tools are clean, available, and in proper working order.


• Dispose of trash, recyclables, and compost in designated areas; maintain cleanliness of waste and recycling areas.


• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).


• Assist with scheduled deep cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.


• Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and team members to support smooth daily operations.


• Perform additional duties as needed to support the restaurant and team.

Attendance Requirement

As a non-exempt role, punctuality and consistent attendance are essential. Team members are expected to arrive on time, ready to work their scheduled shifts, and to comply with all company standards regarding rest and meal breaks, as well as attendance policies.

Required Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler’s Card throughout employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.


• Ability to safely handle cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.


• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs.


• Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.


• Ability to work in hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environments.


• Use of cleaning agents, detergents, and sanitizing solutions with appropriate safety precautions.
