Job Overview


POSITION: PMS, Product Manager


COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $70,000 -$80,000 plus comprehensive and lucrative performance bonus potential. ​Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. DIRECT REPORT: Sr. Manager, Prop Mgmt Systems


Summary


The PMS, Product Manager, will architect, manage, and lead the strategy for all Property Management Systems (PMS) used at Cardinal. This includes systems like Entrata, RealPage, and Yardi, any client property management systems, and enterprise-wide systems that connect to the PMS like RoomSync, Leap, Leonardo 24/7, Knock, and OpsTechnology. The PMS, Product Manager will work directly with business leaders and third-party or private-label clients to identify requirements, provide recommended solutions, and develop Cardinal standard processes for each PMS. The Administrator will also provide level III application support to all end-users across business units.


Responsibilities



  • Convert Cardinal business processes for all student, conventional, and private label operations into technical architecture across all PMS platforms.

  • Keep a working knowledge of all Cardinal property management operations (including but not limited to real estate management, accounting operations, and facilities operations) and maintain technical expertise of Cardinal's proptech systems to be able to architect the best possible solutions.

  • Set the technical requirements for the implementation of property management operations in all PMS.

  • Develop recommendations on best practices and operational procedures to be implemented across the PMS ecosystem.

  • Work directly with various business stakeholders and (on occasion) clients to understand clients' business needs, set strategy, implement new functionality, optimize the existing applications, and ensure their business needs are being met.

  • Implement enterprise application standards set by the Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications across all PMS.

  • Provide governance for team projects, assigning priorities, and allocating resources as needed.

  • Serve as the secondary administrator of the Entrata property management ecosystem, managing all related technologies as well as product roadmaps and backlogs, providing continual optimizations, ensuring system ROI, and serving as SME to the entire organization.

  • Understand the integrations between systems and troubleshoot connection issues.

  • Continue to learn about new features to recommend options and optimizations to the business for all products managed.

  • Prepare for new releases by reviewing release notes and providing release readiness support to the organization for all products managed.

  • Produce end-user training resources in coordination with the learning & development team.

  • Answer level III end-user support tickets for Entrata and escalate to vendors as needed.

  • Participate in the vendor selection process and contracting/renewals for the PMS ecosystem.

  • Manage, plan, and execute all aspects of SIM migrations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to property operations.

  • Lead and support Cardinal OKRs as needed.

  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.


Qualifications



  • Experience in property management operations is required.

  • Deep expertise in one of the following systems, Entrata, RealPage or Yardi, designing solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Experience working and communicating directly with high-value clients is required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal direction, adjusting quickly workplace changes.

  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to maximize time, resources and productivity.

  • Capability to explain solutions in non-technical terms.

  • Innovative thinker leading to meaningful workplace change, providing Cardinal a competitive advantage.

  • Empathic leader, strengthening workplace relationships and maintaining job satisfaction among team.

  • College degree preferred.

  • 8 years of experience in a comparable field.
