Job Description - Poker Supervisor, Rungood Tournament (Caesars New Orleans)
Description
The Poker Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of Supervising Tournament play during the Rungood Event.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of Supervision, policies and gaming procedures.
Has knowledge in all area’s of Poker Tournament play, including but not limited to rules of play, registration, and facts about the current player of the year standings.
Required to communicate all pertinent information to dealers, staff and other departments.
Communicate with staff/other departments to ensure accurate transactions.
Creates an opportunity for fun and excitement by being friendly, supportive and enthusiastic towards guests.
Adheres to Caesars Entertainments appearance standards.
Demonstrates positive acceptance of demanding scheduling needs.
Helps to maintain a clean and friendly environment for our guests by cleaning around the work area.
Able to oversee employees and give clear direction of their role and responsibility.
Oversee the performance of front of house employees/dealers.
Always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Supervisor must complete their daily assignments, paperwork as it relates to their shift responsibility and duties.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required.
Must be able to successfully complete a basic math test, and pass a Caesars audition displaying adequate Poker skills.
Excellent employee and customer service skills are essential.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around assigned Pit area, up and down stairs in Theater, during entire shift.
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary.
Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests’ demands in a fast pace environment.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area.
Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets.
Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money.
Must accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
Excellent vision (including peripheral) is needed to protect the games.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
