The Bartender is responsible for all aspects of bar operations, from preparation to service. This role ensures the bar is fully stocked, maintains accurate inventory, provides exceptional guest service, and supports Apprentice Bartenders. The Bartender mixes and serves beverages according to established recipes while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Prepare beverages using proper portions and ingredients, including wine, liquor, and specialty drinks.
Mix drinks according to prescribed recipes and maintain a fully stocked station with liquor, glassware, and supplies.
Operate a cash register, ring in accurate amounts, and provide correct change to guests or servers.
Maintain accurate accountability for cash, complimentary drinks, and charge receipts.
Demonstrate strong timing and awareness to manage guest flow efficiently.
Use beverages, fruit, and supplies resourcefully to maintain low beverage costs.
Set up service items and ensure the bar is prepared for the shift.
Inventory bar supplies at the start of the shift and requisition additional items as needed.
Clean spills and maintain bar cleanliness throughout the shift.
Take and serve cocktail orders promptly and professionally.
Accept payment for beverages and complete register close‑out procedures.
Log stock used during the shift and maintain accurate records.
Ensure the bar meets all county health and departmental appearance standards.
Remain attentive to guest needs and provide courteous, respectful service.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Uphold the highest level of integrity and meet standards required by a regulated business.
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions
Visual ability to accurately measure drink ingredients
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Ability to lift at least 20 lbs repeatedly

Minimum 1 year of bartending experience
Completion of union apprenticeship program (Union Pour Card required)
Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes
Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Neat and professional appearance
Ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and the public
Ability to accurately count money and provide change
Hourly Rate: $6.76 per hour
