Porter

The Automobile Porter Technician is responsible for the efficient handling and transportation of vehicles within a dealership or service center. This includes moving cars to designated locations, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition for display or service. The Automotive Porter Technician may also assist with light maintenance tasks and provide excellent customer service when needed.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Move vehicles to and from service bays, parking lots, and customer locations as directed.
• Clean and detail vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, and ensuring the interior is in good condition.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and other routine checks.
• Maintain the overall organization of vehicle inventory and ensure proper storage.
• Greet customers and assist with vehicle drop-off or pick-up, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Report any damages or issues with vehicles to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Assist in other tasks as needed to support the service or sales departments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive-related work or customer service is a plus.
• Ability to drive vehicles of various makes and models.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, stand, and drive for extended periods.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
