Job Purpose The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the venue to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role plays a vital part in creating an atmosphere that reflects Puttery’s standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and care. Porters are expected to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive team culture built on respect, support, and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager or Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas, including restrooms, storage areas, walkways, and common spaces
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and maintained with proper supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Support general maintenance and minor repair tasks as needed
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Respond promptly to guest or staff requests regarding cleanliness or safety concerns
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
- Monitor facility conditions and report any issues or hazards to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, housekeeping, or porter experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation best practices
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions
- Active, physically demanding role requiring regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments, including different temperatures and weather conditions
- May involve working on wet or slippery floors, handling cleaning agents, and operating basic maintenance equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Extended shifts and weekend or holiday hours may be required to meet operational needs
