Groundskeeper — RISE Vols
At RISE Vols, a clean community doesn’t happen by accident.
We’re looking for a Groundskeeper who takes pride in keeping the property looking its best—from the entrances and outdoor spaces residents see first to the common areas they use every day.
This is a hands-on role for someone who doesn’t mind staying busy, working both indoors and outdoors, and tackling the things that need attention without waiting to be asked. Trash removal, litter pickup, common area cleaning, and general property upkeep will be a big part of your day.
If you like staying active and can look at a property and immediately notice what needs to be cleaned, picked up, or taken care of, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Emptying interior and exterior trash receptacles and transporting waste to designated disposal areas
- Walking the property regularly to pick up litter and keep grounds clean and presentable
- Maintaining building entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding exterior areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces
- Keeping high-traffic resident areas clean throughout the day
- Completing routine property walks and identifying cleanliness, maintenance, or safety concerns
- Reporting maintenance issues or property concerns to the appropriate team member
- Safely operating custodial equipment and using cleaning products according to instructions
- Supporting the housekeeping and maintenance teams with light cleaning, inspections, and property needs
- Helping with additional assignments as needed to keep the community operating smoothly
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to overcomplicate this job. We need someone who is dependable, works hard, and cares about how the property looks.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Previous groundskeeping, custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or similar experience
- Experience with basic cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning products, chemicals, and custodial equipment
- Strong attention to detail—you notice the trash, litter, spills, or other issues other people walk past
- Ability to manage your time and stay productive without constant supervision
- A dependable work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to communicate maintenance, safety, or property concerns when you see them
- Flexibility to help wherever needed throughout the property
Physical Requirements
This is an active, physical position. You must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Regularly bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies, trash, equipment, and other materials
- Work both indoors and outdoors and perform grounds-related duties in varying weather conditions
