Porter - Multiple Positions

Established in 2023, The Gate Golf Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to golf and creating a lasting impact on the Southwest Florida community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate will feature:

· Oakwood Grill 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant

· The Pavilion Bar

· The Gimme - quick service restaurant

· The Bays - 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology

· The Gater 18-hole putting course

· Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation-length golf course.

The Gate is designed to make golf more accessible to families and players of all skill levels, while providing high-quality golf and hospitality experiences at affordable rates.

Position Overview 

As a Porter, you are the heartbeat of our venue's energy. You take immense pride in keeping our locker rooms, hitting bays, and guest spaces sparkling clean, safe, and welcoming. This role is the backbone of our guest experience—ensuring that every corner of the venue looks pristine and runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain pristine locker rooms by performing daily cleaning and disinfection of all showers, toilets, sinks, and vanities 
• Wipe down and sanitize the inside and outside of lockers and handles. 
• Clean, polish, and smudge-proof all large glass entryway doors and front windows continuously throughout the shift. 
• Maintain immaculate public restrooms through frequent restocking and sanitizing schedules. 
• Sweep, mop, vacuum high-traffic indoor and outdoor spaces. 
• Clean and polish high-touch surfaces 
• Keep the main entrance, parking lot, and outdoor walkways completely free of trash and debris. 
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly to keep pace with a high-volume crowd. 
• Safely handle, store, and utilize commercial cleaning products and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. 

 Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regular exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods, and work near moving equipment.
• Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, cleaning chemicals, or hazardous materials associated with restaurant and golf facility operations.
• Able to meet the physical and scheduling requirements of a busy public golf facility.

• Commercial cleaning, janitorial, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. 
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.

• Comfort working in both indoor environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service. 
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
