Porter/Matron - PT - M-F - 6pm-10pm in DC

Description

This position requires the ability to read and understand English safety labels and written work instructions.

We are seeking a dependable Porter/Matron in Washington, DC. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday – 6:00pm – 10:00pm. The hourly rate for this role is $21.40/hr.

The Porter/Matron ensures the property presents a clean, professional appearance throughout the day and provides prompt service to tenants and building management.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

• Clean and maintain restrooms, lobbies, entrances, elevators, and other common areas.
• Replenish restroom and common area supplies.
• Respond quickly to spills, emergencies, and special cleaning requests.
• Empty trash receptacles and monitor exterior/public spaces.
• Support daytime building operations by keeping all high-traffic areas presentable.

Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to read and understand English safety labels and written work instructions.

• Fluency in English (required).
• Spanish proficiency preferred, but not essential. 
• 1–2      years of janitorial experience; lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
