Portland Armed Security Officer

Duties

• Monitor premises through surveillance systems and perform regular patrols to ensure physical security across all areas.


• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors.


• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, fire alarms, or unauthorized access attempts.


• Conduct thorough incident report writing to document all occurrences accurately and comprehensively.


• Operate firearms accordance with training protocols and legal regulations.


• Engage in conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety.


• Execute emergency response procedures such as CPR, AED operation, first aid, and heavy lifting when necessary to assist injured individuals or manage hazardous situations.


• Maintain compliance with all security regulations and company policies to uphold the highest standards of safety and integrity.


• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when required by providing detailed reports and support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, preferably with military background.


• Valid firearm handling certification and proficiency in using security equipment including surveillance cameras and access control systems.


• Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.


• Strong skills in incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and conflict management.


• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively.


• Knowledge of physical security practices including patrolling routines and surveillance techniques.


• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with the public or staff.


• Physically fit with the stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; capable of heavy lifting when required.
