About the Role

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students receiving special education services. Youâll play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, build essential skills, and achieve their academic and personal goals.

This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your input is valued and your impact is visible every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and report student progress toward goals.

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.

Support positive behavior strategies and classroom management.

Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families.

Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success.

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to studentsâ unique learning needs.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Special Education or a related field and possess an active Oregon teaching license with a Special Education endorsement, or be eligible to obtain licensure. Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, along with demonstrated strength in classroom management and organization. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success.
