The Reventun lab has a position for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Scholar to examine the role of genetic variants in endothelial cells in the progression of venous thromboembolism. The PD Researcher will pursue specialized research training, education, and experience under the guidance of Dr. Reventun; plans, designs, and executes experiments of considerable scope and complexity; collects and analyzes data; identifies and selects problems to be studied; develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols; attends research seminars; contributes to manuscript preparation and supports technical writing; participates in the preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in a biological or health sciences field

Skills and/or Experience Preferred

Strong research and data analysis skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to ethical research and diversity. We require applicants to have experience in animal studies, molecular biology techniques, cell signaling pathways, and prior training in the cardiovascular disease field; biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, and genetics are strongly preferred; a scientific publication record is desired.

Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
