Powersports Assistant Service Manager

SUMMARY

The Assistant Service Manager supports the Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the service department. This role involves managing service staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient and effective service processes. The Assistant Service Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining high levels of productivity, quality, and customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist in managing and supervising service advisors, technicians, and support staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.


• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.


• Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal use of service bays and technician time.


• Monitor and inspect repair work to ensure it meets company and industry standards, and that customer vehicles are repaired correctly and on time.


• Track and analyze service department performance metrics, including productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores.


• Assist in training and developing service staff, providing guidance and support to improve skills and performance.


• Assist in managing parts inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and supplies for service jobs.


• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the service department and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.


• Ensure all service activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as dealership policies.


• Generate and analyze service department reports, providing insights to the Service Manager for decision-making and strategic planning.


• Conduct follow-up calls or emails to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.


• Work closely with other departments, including sales and parts, to ensure seamless operations and customer service.


• Other duties as assigned.
