Position Summary

The Parts & Accessories Associate is responsible for assisting customers, technicians, and fellow team members with powersports parts, apparel, riding gear, accessories, and performance upgrades. This individual will help customers personalize their vehicles while ensuring accurate inventory management, excellent customer service, and achievement of department sales goals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and the powersports lifestyle and has a passion for helping customers find the right products to enhance their ownership experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional dealership experience.


• Assist customers in selecting parts, accessories, apparel, riding gear, and performance products.


• Educate customers on product features, benefits, and installation requirements.


• Recommend complementary and add-on products to increase customer satisfaction and sales.


• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.


• Follow up on special orders and customer inquiries.

Parts Operations

• Lookup and identify correct OEM and aftermarket parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership software.


• Receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory.


• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.


• Process warranty and return transactions according to company procedures.


• Maintain clean, organized, and professional parts displays.

Service Department Support

• Provide prompt parts support for dealership technicians.


• Pull and stage parts for repair orders.


• Communicate inventory availability and special-order timelines to the service team.


• Partner with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure efficient repair completion.

Merchandising & Accessories

• Maintain appealing retail displays of helmets, riding apparel, gloves, accessories, and lifestyle merchandise.


• Assist with seasonal promotions, sales events, and showroom merchandising.


• Stay current on Honda products, powersports industry trends, and new accessory offerings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


• Strong customer service and communication skills.


• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership systems.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.


• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and dealership events as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous powersports, automotive, retail, or parts department experience.


• Knowledge of Honda motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and power equipment.


• Experience with Lightspeed, CDK, or similar dealership management systems.

• Familiarity with aftermarket performance products and accessories.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
