Powersports Technician

Tom Wood Honda Powersports, in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a full-time Technician to join our team.  The ideal candidate is someone who possesses a passion for both mechanics and outdoor recreation, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. 

Responsibilities:    

• 
  

  Diagnose complex problems on multiple manufacturer’s products by using latest diagnostic equipment   

  
  

• 
  

  Complete complex repairs within timelines specified by the manufacturer and dealership.  

  
  

• 
  

  Perform routine maintenance and assembly of new units   

  
  

• 
  

  Perform additional functions in the dealership as needed, including but not limited to service writing, parts counter assistance, unit pickup and delivery, and assisting apprentice techs as needed   

  
  

• 
  

  Attend periodic training in remote locations as well as on-site    

  
  

• 
  

  Other duties as assigned 

  
  

Qualifications:     

• 
  

  Strong passion for the powersports industry 

  
  

• 
  

  Formal training, preferably with one of the major metric motorcycle manufacturers and or MMI 

  
  

• 
  

  Proven dealership experience with their own tools  

  
  

• 
  

  Must have a “sales and customer service” attitude and aptitude and be able to communicate professionally with customers    

  
  

• 
  

  Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety 

  
  

• 
  

  - Valid driver’s license, with motorcycle endorsement plus a clean driving record
