Job Summary:
The Practice Manager at Vamos Health will have leadership responsibility for the smooth operations of our clinics in the Utah market, focusing on both team management and patient care. This position requires managing a diverse team, promoting a positive clinic culture, and working to achieve patient growth and retention goals. The Practice Manager will support staff development, handle operational tasks, and collaborate with medical leadership to maintain high-quality care. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the role involves overseeing day-to-day clinic activities, addressing staffing issues, and managing clinic resources. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving the Spanish-speaking and immigrant community, with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient satisfaction. Proficiency in Spanish is required, and the position will involve travel to multiple clinic locations. The role is full-time and benefits eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
· Champion a clinic-wide culture of enthusiasm for new patient growth and retention.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets. Partner with sales team to reach new patient growth targets.
· Collaborate with medical leadership to ensure patients receive safe and high-quality clinical care.
· Hire, train, and manage the performance of the administrative and clinical team, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
· Support the team with providing exceptional customer service; meet patient retention goals.
· Provide timely and appropriate feedback to team members and colleagues; conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
· Run team meetings and ensure excellent communication and follow-up on team concerns.
· Monitor employee productivity and clinic flow; greet and room patients and answer the phone as needed to ensure a smooth-running operation.
· Identify training needs and coordinate training for team members.
· Assist with patient billing issues and clinic reporting.
· Act as a point-of-contact for employee call-offs, sickness, holidays, and other absences; oversee employee time-tracking system.
· Act as a point-of-contact for supplies, equipment, facility maintenance, and IT issues.
· Promote teamwork, cooperation, and positivity within and across teams; foster a culture of celebrating successes.
· As a leader, be a role model for our company values.
· Maintain adherence to HIPAA and other compliance and safety policies and protocols.
· Travel, as needed, for outreach events or to multiple sites.
· Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or Management, or Nursing highly preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in a healthcare setting (preferably in primary care or pediatrics).
· Proficient computer skills.
· Prior experience working with EMR and payroll systems.
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Comfort with ambiguity and ability to proactively structure work and problem solve independently.
· Highest degree of honesty, integrity, and fairness.
· Motivated to provide better healthcare to the Spanish-speaking and immigrant population.
· Proficiency in Spanish required.
· US work authorization.
