Practice Referral Coordinator - Orthopedic Clinic

Responsible for obtaining necessary authorizations for office visits, surgeries, testing, and office procedures. Working with insurance companies to ensure that the proper documentation is sent to the insurance company for review, makes follow-up calls to insurance companies to verify receipt of sent requests/records and follow-up to ensure prior authorization are received. Schedule surgeries, tests, and pre-op appointments; explaining preparations. Obtain deductible and copay information for surgeries, procedures, and office visits. Work with staff to ensure that all are collected, or payment plans are arranged.

Education: High school or GED preferred

Experience: 1-3 years
