Pre-Litigation Supervisor

McCready Law is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Supervisor to help lead and support our Pre-Litigation team. This role is ideal for someone who understands personal injury case flow, enjoys developing people, and knows how to keep cases moving without losing sight of the client experience.

The Pre-Litigation Supervisor will oversee assigned team members, provide coaching and performance support, monitor workloads, review file quality, and help ensure cases progress efficiently through the pre-litigation process. This position works closely with the Pre-Litigation Manager, attorneys, Legal Assistants, Case Managers, Paralegals, and other departments to support consistent communication, strong documentation, and timely case movement.

This is a supervisory role that requires sound judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to balance people leadership with operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned Pre-Litigation staff and provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance support.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor team work to ensure timely completion of tasks, follow-ups, and case activity.
• Provide regular feedback to employees regarding performance, communication, documentation, productivity, and adherence to department expectations.
• Partner with the Pre-Litigation Manager and HR on performance concerns, corrective action, staffing needs, and employee development.
• Participate in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and recommendations regarding promotion, transfer, discipline, or separation.
• Monitor case flow, workloads, and department priorities to ensure files continue moving through the pre-litigation process.
• Conduct file audits and quality reviews to confirm accuracy, timeliness, documentation quality, and compliance with firm procedures.
• Identify and escalate case delays, workflow concerns, client communication issues, performance concerns, and operational risks.
• Support resolution of escalated client concerns and case-related issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, Intake, Medical Records, Demands, Settlement, and other departments to support timely handoffs and case quality.
• Recommend process improvements to improve productivity, quality, client service, and case progression.

• Five or more years of experience in personal injury law, pre-litigation, litigation support, or legal operations.
• Two or more years of leadership, supervisory, senior, or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of personal injury case flow, treatment coordination, records, documentation, client communication, and settlement preparation.
• Experience supervising staff, assigning work, coaching performance, and supporting accountability.
• Ability to identify workflow issues, case delays, documentation gaps, and training needs.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, managers, HR, and cross-functional departments.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Plaintiff's personal injury experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience using SmartAdvocate or another legal case management system.
• Prior experience supervising Legal Assistants, Case Managers, Paralegals, or Pre-Litigation staff.
• Experience supporting performance management, file audits, onboarding, training, or process improvement.
• Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are a plus.
