PURPOSE STATEMENT

The 5th/6th Grade Director serves as a member of the Kids Ministry Team at Neighborhood Church and is responsible for creating fun, age appropriate experiences for fifth and sixth graders on Sundays and other events.  They will also be responsible for the developmental process of the NC Kids volunteers as listed below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

5/6 Grade 

• Prepare a weekly curriculum that includes monthly memory verses, weekly devotionals, games, and classroom preparations for the weekend. This also involves editing and gathering necessary supplies. 


• Plan and develop leadership and programming to ensure an excellent experience for both large and small groups of children. 


• Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers effectively.  


• Build, develop, encourage, and maintain positive relationships with volunteers.   


• Prepare for and oversee preteen events such as monthly hangouts and promotional Sundays.  


• Collaborate with the Elementary Director on events like Kids Summer Camp.

Work Schedule:
 15 Hours per week
