Preventive Maint Tech - Electrician, Full-time, EWCH, Murphy, NC

Job Summary\:
Provides scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, fire alarm systems, building maintenance system and tube system and other electric associated PMs within the physical plant. Works as a team member with other preventive maintenance technicians to assure that equipment receives complete maintenance at appropriate intervals. Seeks to prolong the useful life of equipment and reduce the downtime. Designs efficient routes for electrical preventive maintenance.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:
Required\:
Five years of facilities maintenance

Required\:
Must have a valid NC driver's license and be able to be insured by the facilities insurance carrier.

Preferred:
Maintain a current license (or state and locally recognized educational degree or technical certificate) in Electrical Contracting, or General Contracting.

Department Position Summary:
Good team member must ask for help and offer assistance when needed. Knowledge of and ability to use wide assortment of tools needed for electrical preventive maintenance. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude while maintaining license in specific skill/expertise. Maintains preventive maintenance records and submits to the shift supervisor in timely manner, as specified.
