Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Pricing Cost Estimating Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Air Dominance Division. This position will support a primary team at our facilities in San Diego, CA, Palmdale, CA and other Northrop Grumman Sites. This position will work onsite daily.\n\nIn this role, the Manager Pricing / Cost Estimating 2 will lead a team of professionals responsible for the development of cost products. Provide integrated P\u0026E thought leadership to the business teams, appropriate staffing to develop cost volumes, ROMs, BPEs, cost models, or other analysis required to support the business objectives. Able to step in and provide hands-on technical support, development and training to a team of professionals.\n\n \nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\n * Lead a pricing and estimating team supporting multiple lines of business and programs across various sites\n * Manage team staffing, resources, tools, and training as needed\n\n * Direct team execution in all aspects of cost volume quality, compliance, and products in response to customer\u2019s request for proposal (RFP) \n\n * Brief senior management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, and government auditors on a variety of issues as required\n\n * Engage with Senior P\u0026E/Program/Business Unit leadership to develop pricing and estimating strategies needed to successfully capture follow-on or new business in line with company objectives\n\n * Establish strategic relationships with program, business unit, and functional leadership; and customer counterparts to enhance team operations, resources, and deliverables\n\n * Understand and adhere to internal and external policies and procedures as it pertains to the role \u200b\n\n * Support DCMA/DCAA offices and Government Compliance regarding proposal and business system audits\n\n\n\n\nBasic Required Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelors Degree and 7 years of related Business Management experience, or a Masters Degree and 5 years of Business Management experience or a PhD and 3 years of Business Management experience\n\n * Must have thorough understanding of pricing and estimating methodologies, quality, and compliance requirements (FAR/DFARS) related to cost volumes and Cost Estimating System requirements\n\n * Proven ability to evaluate/analyze, integrate, and communicate Pricing/Estimating and financial impacts, cost issues and risks to senior and executive leadership\n\n * Experience in development of proposal cost or pricing strategy\n\n * Working knowledge of Enterprise Pricing Software (i.e., ProPricer)\n\n * Ability to work onsite daily in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA\n\n * Active DoD Secret Clearance and program access prior to start in a reasonable amount of time as determined by the program\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * DoD Top Secret Clearance\n\n * Experience leading proposal audits and RFI process\n\n * Experience developing proposals of various contract types (e.g. CPIF, CPAF, CPFF, FFP, etc.), complexity, size, and acquisition phase\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
