Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman is currently seeking a Principal (level 3) or a Sr. Principal (level 4) Supply Chain Planning Specialist in our Supply Chain department. The position will be at our Palm Beach Gardens, Florida location.\n\nThe Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS\u0026C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS\u0026C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.\n\nJob Summary:\n\nThe Principal/Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist is a strong leader with demonstrated project management and supply chain management skills. The position will own and coordinate activities in support of material requirements, material cost accounting, and supplier management on an assigned program. Further, this position will promote a focus on safety and employee Lean/PES/Six Sigma tools throughout program planning and implementation.\n\nPrimary Job responsibilities are:\n\n * Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain management function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers, etc.\n\n * Represent Northrop Grumman in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and leadership briefings (internal/external).\n\n * Oversee all Supply Chain Management activities needed to meet program requirements and maintain link between various Supply Chain functions including Purchasing/Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Production Control\n\n * Identify and mitigate program risks as they pertain to material requirements\n\n * Oversee material program planning and execution through applicable phases to support prime program requirements: concept, exploration, engineering development, advanced development, production, sustainment, retirement, etc.\n\n\n\n\nMaterial Management:\n\n * Prepare and execute Material Program Plans (MPPs) and supply strategy\n\n * Support completion of the bill of material including product and part definition, scrap and yield analysis, and order policies.\n\n * Maintain program line of balance and ensure supplier deliveries are aligned with production schedule.\n\n * Lead activities to mitigate material risks and obsolescence, ensuring 100% material availability\n\n * Responsible for program materials through acceptance\n\n\n\n\nSupplier Management:\n\n * Develop supply chain strategy \u2013 including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources, safety stocks, and buffer stocks,\n\n * Support vendor assessments for operational effectiveness\n\n * Implement Supplier Performance Management Practices including Business Management Reviews, Scorecard Reviews, Supplier Surveys and Operational Assessments as appropriate\n\n\n\n\nMaterials Finance\n\n * Develop and maintain the monthly sales forecasts for selected programs \n\n * Provide weekly status for forecasted sales for materials\n\n * Assist with billing/invoice issues which are delaying invoices from being processed on time\n\n * Provide monthly material IWO support to ensure accurate forecast and ETC on select programs\n\n * Act in an SME role on the development and maintenance of month end material forecast and ETC finance deliverables.\n\n * Provide Sales \u0026 Ops Materials Watch list input and compare to program forecasts. Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience. Will consider a Bachelor\u2019s degree with 5 years of experience or a Masters degree with 3 years of experience.\n\n * 5 years of experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials, and/or services.\n\n * Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, financial systems, FAR, and ITAR\n\n * Demonstrated leadership experience\n\n * Ability to acquire a Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Requirements for level 4:\n\n * This position emphasizes skills and experience. Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience. Will consider a Bachelor\u2019s degree with 8 years of experience or a Masters degree with 6 years of experience.\n\n * 5 years of experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials, and/or services.\n\n * Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, financial systems, FAR, and ITAR\n\n * Demonstrated leadership experience\n\n * Ability to acquire a Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Requirements:\n\n * Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field \n\n * Active Secret Security Clearance \n\n * Experience with Earned Value Management preferred\n\n * Aerospace and/or DoD experience\n\n\n\n\nThis position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
