Job Description - Principal

Elementary and Middle School Principals

Charter School Network

New York City Area

Salary Range: $125,000 to $180,000 per year, based on experience

Terrific Elementary and Middle School Principal positions with a New York City Charter Network for the upcoming 2027-2028 school year.

The Principals will be responsible for ensuring overall excellence and strong student outcomes. Ideal candidates will come from a high performing charter school network and have a demonstrated record of fostering academic success.

Responsibilities:

Lead by example and set the standard for excellence in instructional knowledge, planning, and implementation

Foster a school culture that is joyful and and rigorous for staff, students, and families

Build relationships with staff, students, and families

Utilize a data driven approach to ensure success in academic outcomes for all students across subject areas

Develop the school leadership team to effectively manage and coach

Create standards for problem solving and student outcomes ensuring a commitment to student outcomes

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of teaching experience and 2+ years of relevant principal experience

Bachelor's degree required

Experience at a high-performing charter school/network is preferred

History of strong academic outcomes

Strong connection to the organization's mission and educational philosophy

Ability to provide an influential leadership presence and an experienced people manager

Data-driven with a clear vision of instructional excellence
