Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida.\n\n**This role may be filled at either the Configuration Analyst or Principal Level, based on qualifications listed below**\n\nThe selected candidate will coordinate and administer configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. \n\n\u2022 Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. \n\n\u2022 Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. \n\n\u2022 Coordinate modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. \n\n\u2022 Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Principal Configuration Analyst):\n\n\u2022 Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master\u2019s degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience OR a Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.\n\n\u2022 Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance prior to the commence of employment. \n\n\u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Configuration Analyst):\n\n\u2022 Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master\u2019s degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.\n\n\u2022 Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance prior to the commence of employment.\n\n\u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Teamcenter, JIRA proficiency.\n\n\u2022 Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher)\n\n\u2022 Must have knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A\n\n\u2022 Must have experience reviewing engineering documentation\n\n\u2022 Must be able to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP)\n\n\u2022 Must have experience or knowledge of maintaining a bill of material (BOM) between PLM and ERP systems\n\n\u2022 Must have knowledge of product baselines and configuration status accounting\n\n\u2022 Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (i.e. Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)\n\n\u2022 Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.\n\n\u2022 Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
