Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman\u2019s Defense Systems sector is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/ Principal Mechanical Engineer on the Command and Launch Infrastructure Integration team. This position is in our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.\n\nThis position will be located on campus in Roy, UT and may require on-site support at product manufacturing and integration sites.\n\nThe qualified candidate will work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines to engineer design solutions to challenging problems through the development of Product Definition Packages (PDP).\n\nRoles and Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysis\n\n\u2022 Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions\n\n\u2022 Deliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectives\n\n\u2022 Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with the various element teams to proactively eliminate disconnects and design clashes.\n\n\u2022 Identify gaps within a design and/or requirements and provide a resolution that is cost effective, innovative, and has minimal impact to others.\n\n\u2022 Ensure the developed PDPs meet the design requirements from the various element/configured item specifications.\n\nPosition Benefits:\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n\u2022 Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\n\u2022 401k \n\n\u2022 Educational Assistance \n\n\u2022 Life Insurance \n\n\u2022 Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\n\u2022 Paid Time Off \n\n\u2022 Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\n\u2022 Employee Discounts \n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Mechanical Engineer (T2) - Bachelor\u0027s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of experience; or Master\u0027s degree with 0 years of experience.\n * Principal Mechanical Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD\n * An active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.\n * Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations.\n * Experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) or Product Data management (PDM) tools.\n * Experience with 3-D modeling\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * ICBM Experience\n * Experience in creating a Product Definition Package (PDP) or PDP like products\n * Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards\n * Ability to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.)\n * Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter CPLM (Common Product Lifecycle Management) tools\n * 2+ year of experience with 3-D modeling tools\n * 2+ year of experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) tools\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
