Principal Technology Consultant – Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
We’re hiring on behalf of a nationally recognised engineering consultancy opening a brand-new office in Raleigh. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Technology Consultant to take on a leadership role in both project delivery and client engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in low-voltage systems, combined with a strong track record in project management and business development. You’ll serve as a key figure in driving growth across the Southeast, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring the successful delivery of technology projects across multiple sectors—especially federal and healthcare.
What You’ll Do:
Act as the principal point of contact for key clients across the region
Lead the planning and delivery of technology design projects, including structured cabling, AV, and electronic security systems
Develop and execute client strategies to grow existing accounts and attract new business
Oversee project performance—managing schedules, budgets, scopes, and deliverables
Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to prepare proposals and secure new work
Provide mentorship to project managers and technical staff
Ensure all projects are aligned with client standards and long-term objectives
Contribute to internal process improvement and promote consistent quality standards
Represent the firm in professional organisations and industry events
Forecast revenue and support timely collections on active accounts
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in technology consulting, including project/client management
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
RCDD certification and active security clearance are required
Familiarity with USACE and other federal project protocols strongly preferred
Experience in healthcare projects highly desirable
Deep technical knowledge across telecommunications, AV, and security systems
Proven ability to lead large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects
Strong understanding of financials: budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to mentor junior team members and promote a culture of high performance
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PM tools
