Northrop Grumman has opportunities waiting for you that play a vital role in human space exploration, national defense, and scientific discovery, supporting multiple programs across the universe.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring for a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Division\u2019s Global Supply Chain team. This position is based onsite for a hybrid role in Dulles, VA.\n\nJob Duties: \n\n * Define and execute the material strategy, aligning supply resources with corporate objectives and product\u2011line priorities.\n * Lead demand\u2011supply planning with MRP tools; aggregate forecasts, assess purchase\u2011material positions, and produce rough\u2011cut capacity and production schedules.\n * Optimize inventory across dependent and independent BOMs, adjusting supply requirements to balance service levels, working capital, and stock\u2011out risk.\n * Conduct make\u2011vs\u2011buy analysis and manage product phase\u2011in, phase\u2011out, manufacturing ramp\u2011up, and end\u2011of\u2011life transitions.\n * Partner with sourcing, operations, and finance to synchronize inventory targets, resolve non\u2011standard part requirements, and mitigate critical\u2011path procurements.\n * Support long\u2011term capacity and resource planning to accommodate new product introductions while maintaining efficient utilization of existing assets.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * A bachelor\u0027s degree and 5+ years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience\n\n * Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system\n\n * MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company. \n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
