This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get To Do:\n\nThis candidate will join the Sentinel Launch Systems Infrastructure Facility Electrical Design (FED) Team. This role will serve as a system and/or equipment design engineer on the Facility Electrical Design Team. Candidates must be able to understand the intent of Weapon System design at a general level and follow direction on how that informs facility power system design and equipment design decisions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, and must possess fundamental electrical engineering skills. Demonstrated ability to foster diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including receiving mentoring and coaching from leads is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in collaborating with Engineering teams and associated stakeholders.\n\nRoles \u0026 Responsibilities:\n\n * Supporting design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems, and circuit protective requirements for ground systems including Electrical System Analysis, test procedures, power architectures, reports, analyses, and other power related deliverables.\n\n * Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.\n\n * Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.\n\n * Ensure appropriate coordination between facility electrical design and other integration teams.\n\n * Integration and documentation of electrical systems designs for the weapon system. Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.\n\n * May perform research, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more.\n\n * Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints.\n\n * Demonstrate leadership principles \u2013 Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nPrincipal Engineer Electrical:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 2 years of experience with a Master\u2019s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.\n\n\n\n\nSr. Principal Engineer Electrical:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of experience, or 7 years of experience with a Master\u2019s degree, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.\n\n\n\n\nBoth Levels:\n\n * Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n * Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.\n\n * Electrical engineering experience in at least two of the following fields: electrical architecture, power system and power equipment design, development and test of mixed signal circuits, interface definition (internal and/or external), or power distribution.\n\n * Experience utilizing power-system design and/or analysis software tools such as ETAP, PSS/E, SKM?(PTW), Easy?Power, PSCAD or equivalent.\n\n * Knowledge of industry/military codes and standards, including mil-specs, IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, and UFC.\n\n * Experience with creating and executing to schedule \u0026 technical recovery plans.\n\n * Ability to meet program technical, cost and schedule milestones.\n\n * Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).\"\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Working experience designing, troubleshooting (RCA) and/or implementing ground power systems, facility power systems and/or launch power systems.\n\n * Revit experience.\n\n * Experience with high-power and/or high-frequency systems, including power electronics.\n\n * Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems.\n\n * Authorship and release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.\n\n * Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting.\n\n * Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities\n\n * Electrical Professional Engineering (P.E.) license\"\n\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n \n\\- Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\\- 401k \n\\- Educational Assistance \n\\- Life Insurance \n\\- Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\\- Paid Time Off \n\\- Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\\- Employee Discounts \n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. \n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
