Print Operator

The Print Operator is responsible for operating digital printing machines in a time sensitive environment. To prepare for printing, print operators make the machine adjustments to accommodate the customer’s job, load the correct paper for the client’s job and monitor the results.

Responsibilities

• Initiating, loading, aligning print jobs in high tech printing machines
• Trimming, shrink-wrapping, sorting, and collation of print jobs
• Assisting with minor maintenance and troubleshooting such as cleaning sensors, clearing jams, and cleaning rollers
• Monitoring print quality while print jobs are running
• Alerting supervisor of any problems with print job
• Completing the job report if any problems occur during print run, including loss of paper
• Maintaining record and providing reports regarding the operations of the printing equipment

Requirements of the Position

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of print operation experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to run high speed printing equipment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Attention to detail required
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Driving required, must have valid Driver's license

• Pay: Wages based on experience
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM
