Printing Desktop Operator (Prepress Technician) All shifts

Mittera Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Printing Desktop Operator to join our production team in Philadelphia, Pa.. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and formatting digital files to ensure they are ready for high-quality commercial print production. 

  File Preparation: Format, check, and preflight digital files using Adobe Creative Suite to ensure proper resolution, color modes (CMYK/Pantone), bleeds, and fonts.

· Layout & Imposition: Create digital impositions, plates, or layouts optimized for digital and offset printing presses.

· Quality Control: Inspect proofs for accuracy, alignment, and formatting errors before final production runs.

· Troubleshooting: Resolve file corruptions, missing links, formatting discrepancies, and coloring issues.

· Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers, sales representatives, and press operators to meet tight deadlines.

· Experience: 2+ years of experience in prepress, desktop publishing, or a commercial print environment. XMF Experience a plus

· Software: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro). Experience with imposition software (e.g., Kodak Prinergy, Fiery Command WorkStation) is highly preferred.

· Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial print processes, color theory, trapping, bleed, and margins.

· Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
