A leading law firm is seeking a Private Equity Fund Formation Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private fund sponsors, institutional investors, and alternative asset managers in sophisticated fund formation, co-investment, and secondary transactions.

Ideal Background

• 4–7 years of private funds, investment funds, or fund formation experience
• Experience representing private equity fund sponsors and institutional investors required
• Experience with fund formation, co-investments, secondary transactions, and related investment vehicles
• Experience drafting and negotiating limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, side letters, and fund-related agreements
• Experience advising sponsors on fund structuring, fundraising, and regulatory considerations preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
