Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for materials, equipment, services, and indirect spend categories.
Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
Identify and lead high-impact cost savings, supplier optimization, and value creation initiatives that directly influence business performance.
Identify and execute near-term opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, contract optimization, and supply continuity improvements.
Build strategic supplier relationships that improve service, innovation, quality, and long-term business value.
Monitor, enforce, and continuously improve supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers to ensure competitiveness and continuity of supply.
Negotiate pricing, service levels, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
Maintain contract compliance and renewal schedules.
Partner with Legal, Finance, and business leaders on contract review, risk management, and implementation.
Operational Support
Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials and services supporting operations.
Partner with business leaders to understand current and future requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, finance, supply chain, quality, laboratory leadership, and shared services to support business objectives and organizational growth.
Support capital equipment purchases and strategic business projects.
Deliver annual savings and procurement performance objectives.
Track and report procurement KPIs, supplier performance, savings, and risk indicators.
Support initiatives focused on profitability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Drive procurement process improvements, system enhancements, reporting, and best-practice adoption.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Global Procurement and Supply Chain teams to align local sourcing activities with enterprise strategies.
Ensure globally negotiated supplier agreements, pricing, and procurement policies are implemented across North American operations.
Gain exposure to international sourcing strategies, supplier networks, and enterprise-wide procurement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or related field.
5-10+ years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing commercial relationships.
Strong analytical, financial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in a global, multi-site, manufacturing, laboratory, or operational environment preferred.
Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or similar certification preferred.
