Procurement Support Specialist - Workstrings International - Broussard, LA

General Purpose of the Job

Provides day-to-day support to Procurement operations related to new asset processing, movement and verification of new
assets, modifications to existing assets, and inventory handling of bar stock.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and overhead crane.


• Move tools and assets within the shop using a forklift and overhead crane.


• Transport tools to and from various workstations across the campus using a forklift.


• Use handheld power tools in support of asset processing activities.


•  Perform inventory functions, measure and document bar stock length.


• Perform dimensional checks on assets.


• Steel-stamp and stencil assets as required.


• Review shipping and receiving paperwork for assets being received or loaded for shipment.


• Follow and adhere to applicable Quality Assurance (QA) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and
  procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, procurement support, material handling, shipping/receiving, or related industrial
  environment is preferred.

Technical and Behavioral Abilities

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane for the duties assigned; required training or authorization should
  be established in accordance with company policy.


• Ability to use handheld power tools.


• Ability to perform basic dimensional checks and asset marking/stenciling.


• Ability to review shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
