Product Test Technician

Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Product Test Technician to join our team. This technician will be an invaluable part of the team, interfacing and communicating with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently. Additionally, you will provide process and product support to the organization and address production concerns and disposition of production material. As a product technician in one of our clean rooms, you will provide technical support for a specific product or group of products, from product definition and planning through production and release. Once the product is on the line, you will monitor and audit line operators, and offer guidance.

Responsibilities include:

• Test Program & Process Management
  
  
  
  • Program Optimization: Manage, troubleshoot, and enhance parametric test programs to ensure maximum stability and efficiency in the production environment.
  
  
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate test program performance, recommending and implementing technical improvements to mitigate recurring issues.
  
  
  • Device Integration: Create and maintain Accretech prober device files for new devices at all parametric probing log points.
  
  
  • Technical Support: Act as the primary technical resource for all engineering test program requests and system updates.
  
  


• Production & Floor Support
  
  
  
  • First Line of Defense: Provide immediate technical support on the probe floor to resolve hardware, software, and test program disruptions.
  
  
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Continuously monitor floor operations to proactively address hardware failures, prober device file errors, lot holds, and process deviations.
  
  
  • Probe Card Maintenance: Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of probe cards to minimize downtime.
  
  


• Yield Analysis & Lot Disposition
  
  
  
  • Lot Disposition: Perform precise technical evaluations of manufacturing lots on the probe floor; make critical decisions regarding re-probe requirements or potential scrap.
  
  
  • Yield Root Cause Analysis: Monitor yield trends and perform component-level debugging to identify and resolve the root causes of yield degradation.
  
  
  • Wafer Map Analysis: Review wafer maps to identify spatial yield patterns, report findings, and execute necessary dispositions.
  
  
  • Data Communication: Organize complex yield data and distribute timely reports to the engineering team to highlight critical issues requiring attention.
  
  


• Reliability & Specialized Testing
  
  
  
  • Reliability Testing Support: Execute and support reliability protocols, including VSM, 100% probing, pre-bake/post-bake testing, and thermal soak (bake) cycles.
  
  

 Minimum requirements:

• High School diploma/GED
• 18 years of age or older
• One of the following:
  • 2 years of semiconductor experience as Technician OR
  • 8 years of non-semiconductor/military Technician experience
• Ability to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
• Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays

Preferred qualifications:

• Qualifications & Technical Skills:
  • Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of semiconductor fab processing and manufacturing workflows.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Parametric/WLR testing, including familiarity with Accretech probers, Agilent/Keysight/VLCT testers, and SMS.
    • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
    • Exposure to any programming languages (Python, C++, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Systems Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on data-driven problem-solving.
