Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nThis position may be filled by either a Training Courseware Developer (Level 2) or a Principal Training Courseware Developer (Level 3) based on the qualifications listed. \n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Training Courseware Developer OR Principal Training Courseware Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL for the Product Support Group. Operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. The position has no opportunity for remote or telework.\n\nThe selected candidate will establish, develop, and implement training system requirements for training system courseware in support of the overall Training System.\n\nThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in both an office and lab environment and be able to work closely with subject matter experts, system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nOrganize, develop, and digitize course content and course materials into digital platforms. \n\nResearch and apply emerging technologies into content development. \n\nAbility to design and display information in a visually appealing way. \n\nWork closely with subject matter experts, graphic artists, and external customers for completion of training materials. \n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills required, as well as strong organizational skills and an ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment. \n\nThis requisition may be filled at the level or level 3 based on requirements listed below. \n\nBasic Qualifications for Training Courseware Developer (Level 2):\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s Degree and 2 years of experience with training syllabus and courseware development OR Master\u0027s Degree and 0 years of experience. \n\n * Experience with authoring inside of an LMS and/or LCMS. \n\n * Experience authoring computer-based training with interactive elements. \n\n * Strong editing and proofreading skills. \n\n * General understanding of aesthetically appealing graphics and content layout . \n\n * Final DOD Secret Clearance required for consideration. \n\n * Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. \n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Principal Training Courseware Developer (Level 3):\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree and 5 years of experience with training, syllabus and courseware development OR Master\u0027s Degree with 3 years of experience with training, syllabus and courseware development OR PhD with 1 year of experience \n\n * Experience with authoring inside of an LMS and/or LCMS \n\n * Experience authoring computer-based training with interactive elements \n\n * Strong editing and proofreading skills \n\n * General understanding of aesthetically appealing graphics and content layout \n\n * Works well in a collaborative environment \n\n * Final DOD Secret Clearance required for consideration. \n\n * Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in an educational field, visual communication, instructional design, interactive design, e-learning, UX/UI design, or graphic design \n\n * Audio/visual editing skills \n\n * Basic multimedia design skills including audio, video, graphics, and animations \n\n * Experience reading and creating storyboards \n\n * Experienced military aircraft maintainer or military aircrew member \n\n * Experienced military maintenance or aircrew Instructor \n\n * Experience in learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and training systems products such as IMDP \u0026 TPSD documents. \n\n * Strong organizational skills tailored toward deadline-oriented environment \n\n * Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management \n\n * Experience with Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process \n\n * Experience in military maintenance and/or aircrew training course design, development, and sustainment \n\n * Experience in military training techniques and instruction methods \n\n * An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance\n\n\n\n\nWe offer phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly collaborative workplace. We also offer exceptional benefits/healthcare, a 9/80 schedule, and a great 401K matching program.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
