What You'll Do
This position will serve as a liaison between Production and Operations Executive management. Production Coordinators, play a vital part to ensure information flows and activities are completed on time with a high degree of quality.
- Assists with production and delivery of required documentation benefitting specific weapons programs
- Support weapon, unit, and or component moves in support of Production
- Deliver weapon books to weapons records and production areas
- Coordinate 35-account inventory and ordering duties
- Work with tooling coordinators to ensure proper tooling is in the bay
- Coordinate the collection of beryllium and radiation release results as needed
- Lead 5S activities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimize productivity
- Assist Production Section Managers with procedure validation and replacement of documents in weapons records
- Coordinate gas lab sampling and supplies to lab and production
- Plan, compose, and distribute safety communication and newsletter to production personnel
- Document and track weapons records and deadlines
- Participate in production personnel hiring activities when needed
- Support continuous improvement projects in order to gain efficiencies and improve quality
- Support the development of Key Performance Indicators
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the Production Coordinator will be required to:
- Possess thorough understanding of assembly/disassembly activities and automated manufacturing resource planning system philosophy
- Have working knowledge of capacity planning and scheduling
- Apply the principles of Conduct of Operations
- Organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively with all level of staff and management
- Monitor compliance with written instructions regarding Security, Environment Safety & Health, Quality,and Building Management policies and guidelines
- Present information regarding processing, scheduling, and building management functions clearly and effectively
- Good working knowledge of PDMLink, Integrated Production Planning and Execution System (IPRO), and Excel
Minimum Job Requirements
- Associate Degree in related discipline with: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. (Typical relevant experience 4–6 years.)
- OR High School Diploma with: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. (Typical relevant experience 4–6 years.)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
