Position Summary

As Production Foreman, you are the front-line leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive operation of your assigned production shift. You lead the production crew on the shop floor and ensure that people, materials, equipment, and priorities are effectively coordinated.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong fabrication and welding knowledge with the ability to lead people, solve problems, and keep production moving. Success in this role is measured by safe operations, consistent quality, reliable production flow, and strong crew performance.

  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities, translating production priorities into clear work assignments, crew assignments, and expected results
  • Manage the production flow across material preparation, cutting, fit-up, welding, inspection, and completion in line with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedules
  • Maintain an active presence on the production floor, monitoring workflow, productivity, staffing, equipment readiness, material availability, and changing operational priorities
  • Identify and resolve production obstacles such as bottlenecks, downtime, material shortages, equipment issues, and staffing constraints, escalating unresolved issues when necessary
  • Set clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, attendance, teamwork, and conduct, and provide timely coaching and performance feedback
  • Support onboarding, training, cross-training, and employee development while identifying skill gaps and opportunities for increased responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, quality, equipment-care, documentation, and workplace-organization standards, including effective shift handovers and continuous improvement activities
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, pipe/spool fabrication, welding, or a comparable fabrication environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading, directing, training, or coordinating employees in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong working knowledge of pipe and spool fabrication processes, including cutting, fit-up, welding, dimensional verification, and inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret spool drawings, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety, quality standards, housekeeping, equipment care, and production workflow
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills with the ability to set priorities and hold employees accountable in a fair and respectful manner
  • Basic computer proficiency and flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, Fridays, or weekends based on production needs; previous front-line leadership, stainless steel fabrication, employee training, or Lean/5S experience is preferred

You can look forward to a position in a family-run now in its seventh generation, with strong prospects for the future. We offer an open, friendly, and collegial working environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes. You will receive a fair salary along with additional company benefits and can look forward to working in a committed and supportive team.
