Production Manager - Commercial Signage

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Location: Houston, TX. This is a fully on-site opportunity for a hands-on production leader who enjoys being present on the shop floor and working closely with the team.

Note: Candidates must have 2+ years of signage manufacturing experience and working knowledge of how to produce commercial illuminated signage. This is a hands-on leadership role and requires full-time on-site work in Houston.

Job Description

• Lead daily production operations across fabrication, routing, printing, vinyl, channel letters, electrical work, and installation preparation.
• Keep projects moving efficiently between production departments while maintaining clear priorities and deadlines.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, production leads, and installation teams.
• Identify production bottlenecks early and take action to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain strong quality standards across commercial illuminated and non-illuminated signage.
• Oversee materials, inventory, vendor coordination, and production readiness.
• Promote a safe, organized, efficient, and accountable shop environment.
• Monitor labor hours, productivity, production costs, and department performance.
• Train, mentor, and develop production employees while setting clear expectations.
• Read shop drawings, plans, specifications, and production documentation to help ensure accurate fabrication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of signage manufacturing experience required.
• Working knowledge of producing commercial illuminated signage required.
• Familiarity with channel letters, UL wiring, LED modules, ACM, acrylic, cabinet fabrication, vinyl application, and CNC routing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and coordinate work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to read shop drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Quality, safety, deadlines, and accountability must be priorities.
