Eaton\u2019s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility.\n\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for driving processes in their designated department through the Eaton Business Systems. In this role, you will assist the Plant Manager and Operations Manager in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery and reduce overall costs. Through these improvements, you will exceed the customers\u2019 expectations by making sure that the organizational decision making is based on a process-oriented culture- to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions.\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n\u2022 Drive a Zero Incident Safety Culture \n\u2022 Align department requirements with Eaton\u2019s Quality Management System \n\u2022 Manage department operations and prioritize production requirements to meet on-time delivery for our customers \n\u2022 Execute Eaton\u2019s Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF): Create the basis for continuous improvement by ensuring that standardized processes are followed. Empower employees to improve the standard work and implement countermeasures when needed. \n\u2022 Promote a team environment and develop direct reports through problem solving skill sets and other cross-training opportunities. You will facilitate cooperation across shifts and among other department supervisors \n\u2022 Assist Management Team in determining personnel requirements, provide necessary training resources for new employees, and facilitate the job bidding process. \n\u2022 Monitor and provide employee coaching with respect to safety, quality and productivity performance (attendance, training, coaching, overtime, vacation requests etc.) \n\u2022 Assign daily work schedules and review in-process inventory reports to ensure alignment to business goals \n\u2022 Lead daily accountability meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution. Lead weekly department meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates and policy/procedural changes as needed \n\u2022 Monitor machinery, equipment and facility, and initiate maintenance work orders as required to ensure efficient and safe working conditions. Initiate and coordinate assistance as required from other support functions (e.g. Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.)\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Minimum 1 year of production supervisor experience in a manufacturing enviroment \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution required\n * Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience \n * 2-3 years injection molding or vacuum lab experience \n * 2-3 years machining experience \n * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specs\n * Experience with machining workflows, speeds/feeds and material\n * Lean/Six Sigma certifications\n * Experience with SAP planning and ordering functions\n * Proficiency in Word, Excel, and SAP\n\n\n\n \n\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Success Criteria: \n\u2022 Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions \n\u2022 Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems \n\u2022 Ability to evaluate and develop talent \n\u2022 Ability to make impactful changes to Eaton\u2019s production processes\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
