Job Description - Production Supervisor Electroplating
About the Role
Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor – Electroplating to oversee daily production activities, employee performance, safety, quality, and production schedules in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
This position will work closely with the General Manager to build and lead the 2nd shift, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, housekeeping, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily electroplating production schedules, staffing, and workflow.
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate production employees.
Work with the General Manager to build and develop the 2nd shift.
Assign employees to appropriate positions to maximize productivity.
Monitor production quality, output, scrap, and schedule performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
Maintain job routers and production records.
Address attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters.
Prepare production and safety reports for management.
Maintain safe work practices, housekeeping, and compliance with plant procedures.
Identify and resolve production or personnel issues quickly.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plating specifications, and work instructions.
Support customer and internal requirements while maintaining professional communication.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on electroplating experience is required.
5–10 years of manufacturing, electroplating, or related industry experience.
Minimum 2 years of production or manufacturing management/supervisory experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of electroplating processes, specifications, equipment, and limitations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
Ability to motivate, train, and develop production employees.
Ability to manage multiple production priorities in a fast-paced environment.
HazWOPER training and forklift certification required.
CEF certification and hazardous waste training preferred.
Strong English communication skills.
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing floor position. The employee may be exposed to:
Wet or humid conditions from cleaning and plating operations.
Heated cleaning and plating tanks containing caustic and acidic solutions.
Moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, heat, odors, and fumes.
High noise levels; hearing protection is required on the plant floor.
Required personal protective equipment based on work area and task.
Required attire: Steel-toe boots, long pants, and appropriate work clothing without offensive graphics or holes, rips, or tears.
