Production Supervisor - Evening Shift - Breast Debone - Batesville, AR

• Direct supervision for assigned line production staff (approximately 50-90).


• Verify daily & weekly payroll time sheets for all team members in the department as assigned.


• Responsible for daily & weekly paperwork such as but not limited to: attendance; vacation requests; disciplinary actions; yield & production reporting.


• Be familiar with the various types of machinery & processes in the assigned department.


• Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level & standard of quality. Physically inspect products for both natural occurring & processing defects.


• Effectively communicate with team members, fellow supervisors, & managers.


• Proactively seek the opportunity to help fellow team members, as well as opportunities to improve processes.


• Know & comply with all written Corporate safety & plant policies.


• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene & cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.


• Follow the written specification for packaging & labeling of products.


• Identify & report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official. Abnormal situations would be:
  
  
  
  • Product tampering
  
  
  • Willful product adulteration
  
  
  • Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
  
  
  • Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
  
  
  • Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake
  
  
  
  


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1-3 years leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role in the poultry industry.


• Ability to multi-task & set priorities.

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.


• Must demonstrate successful supervisory skills, writing skills, creative & effective problem-solving skills, & basic knowledge of computers & related software.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand & walk for long periods of time.


• Standing/sitting/walking 100% of the workday.


• Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.


• Repetitive use of hands


• Must be able to bend, stoop, & climb steps.


• Must be comfortable working in organic conditions.
