Production Trim Lead

Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be ableto demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Lead, support. develop and hold team/self-accountable for reaching full potential in all areas - Safety, Quality, Productivity and Development.


• Collaborating cross-departmentally, ensuring that workflow and resource allocation is efficient,orderly, and prioritized to schedule.


• Train, instruct, assign, and check the work of operator on all assigned areas, eliminate operating problems, handle grievances, evaluate performance and make recommendations concerning changes in status.


• Responsible for assigning duties/breaks/lunches to teammates in assigned area to ensure production continuity.


• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with and alongside teammates.


• Ensuring the team has everything needed to meet/exceed expectations.


• Gathering, creating, and maintaining records involving, but not limited to, safety, production, inventory, and equipment inspections/maintenance.


• Willing and eager to help the division in any way possible.


• 10-12 hour shifts are basic functions.

NEVADA

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year + experience in a leadership role and/or production role.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
